ID Finance strengthens responsible finance, employee wellbeing and climate action

23/12/2025

ID Finance has consolidated a people-centred sustainability model. The group has achieved Great Place to Work certification in Spain and maintains an average customer satisfaction rate of 82 per cent across its Moneyman and Plazo brands. Women now represent 50 per cent of the workforce and 36 per cent of management roles. The company has also significantly reduced its verified carbon footprint compared with the previous year, reflecting a consistent focus on responsible practices towards customers, employees, communities and the environment.

ID Finance applies an environmental, social and governance framework that embeds sustainability into its data driven operating model and day to day management across all entities owned by ID Finance Investments, S.L.

Strong governance and ESG standards

The group’s Corporate Social Responsibility Policy, which covers transparency, ethics, human rights and environmental stewardship, is firmly embedded across the organisation with the backing of senior management. ID Finance Spain has renewed the certification of its Social Responsibility Management System under the international IQNet SR10 standard. The group also holds dual certification in Criminal Compliance (UNE 19601) and Anti Bribery Management (ISO 37001), while in Mexico it has obtained the official Certification in Labour Equality and Non-Discrimination (NMX R 025 SCFI 2015).

Responsible finance and customer protection

Responsible finance is one of the group’s central priorities. ID Finance supports customers with clear information, simple and accessible terms and conditions, online tools and dedicated service channels that help people make informed decisions. Independent Ombudsman offices in Spain and Mexico provide an impartial channel to handle queries and complaints and to agree tailored solutions for customers facing difficulties, including specific support in emergency situations such as natural disasters.

People first: culture, wellbeing and diversity

ID Finance has 396 full time employees and a People First culture focused on wellbeing, development and inclusion. In Spain, the company has been certified as a Great Place to Work, with 89 per cent of employees stating that ID Finance is a great place to work. The Voice of Employee programme shows high satisfaction levels and very high participation rates in all key locations. Employees receive regular training in technical skills, languages and business ethics, and the group records very low levels of work-related accidents, supported by robust health and safety procedures and medical check-ups.

Climate action and community initiatives

ID Finance measures and manages its carbon footprint and has achieved a 75 per cent reduction in verified greenhouse gas emissions compared with the previous inventory, down to 0.8 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent per employee. Electricity contracted in Spain comes entirely from renewable sources. The group has obtained the “Compenso” badge from the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge for three consecutive years and supports reforestation projects that compensate a significant share of its emissions. Employees also take part in environmental volunteering, including coastal clean up activities in Barcelona and recycling initiatives in Mexico, as well as social projects with local organisations and charity events, to which the group contributes financial donations.

Commenting on these achievements, Boris Batine, co-founder of ID Finance and CEO of Plazo, underlines that sustainability is a core part of the group’s identity and strategy and highlights its focus on responsible finance, employee wellbeing, client protection and climate action.
