ID Finance registers its 2024 carbon footprint and renews “Calculo” seal granted by the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition
16/01/2026

ID Finance maintains its annual commitment to environmental transparency by registering its carbon footprint for the 2024 financial year with the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO). Through this procedure, the fintech company has renewed the “Calculo” (Calculate) seal.
This technical validation by the Spanish Office for Climate Change (OECC) constitutes the necessary foundation to subsequently opt for the “Compenso” (Compensate) seal, ensuring the continuity of the sustainability strategy that the company has been developing for years.
The registration certifies the measurement of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions generated by the company at its headquarters in Barcelona and its subsidiary offices in Mexico, covering a comprehensive analysis perimeter that includes Scopes 1, 2, and 3.
Breakdown of Scopes 1, 2, and 3
Scopes 1 and 2 correspond, respectively, to direct emissions generated by the company and indirect emissions derived from electricity consumption.
Furthermore, the report accounts for Scope 3, relating to other indirect emissions within the value chain. This section includes emissions arising from employee commuting to the workplace (in itinere) and teleworking, business travel, waste management, water and raw material consumption, as well as contracted services and electricity transport losses.
With this registration, ID Finance formalises the indispensable technical requirement to proceed with the compensation of said emissions and to soon renew its CALCULO and COMPENSO certification.
In this way, ID Finance maintains its firm commitment to reducing the impact of its activity and thus contributing to climate action, within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility policies.
