ID Finance holds a conference with MBA students

ID Finance had the pleasure to have an in-depth conversation with MBA students of University’s Goizueta Business School during their trip to Barcelona. Our COO and co-founder of ID Finance, Alexander Dunaev, together with the CEO of our neobank Plazo, Alessandro Ceschel, had the opportunity to review the evolution of the company since its inception and reflect of the key learning. Among other subjects, they addressed the changes unchained by growth which has come with a relevant increase in human capital.

Leading by example

In this regard, Alexander Dunaev stressed that ID Finance is currently undergoing a huge transformation, after the launch of neobank Plazo. And as most companies within a similar process, “a moment comes where there are people who you don’t know. After a certain time, when you open new offices, you can’t transmit the values of the company yourself anymore”. In that sense, he explained that when a business comes to that point “you need to set values, distil them and make sure they become part of the corporate culture”.

Leading by example is key. So, “if you beave in a human way, you are hard working and talk to your teams, they will share that culture again with their teams”.

Another key finding that both, Alexander Dunaev and Alessandro Ceschel highlighted is that the right people to work at ID Finance have turned out to be those who are able to grow with the company. “These are the best people we ever had”, Alexander said as from a culture perspective, human capital adds a lot of value to the company.

The importance of diversity

Besides, having people of around 20 different nationalities working for the company, diversity has become an essential value as well in ID Finance’s corporate cultures identity. So has sustainability. ID Finance is one of the few carbon-neutral Fintechs in Spain and Mexico, as it compensates its carbon footprint.
