The fintech, actively involved in the fight against the coronavirus, has recently committed to two projects to reduce the impact that the virus has caused in Spain.
“Research is the only way that we can overcome and defeat the virus efficiently,” said Alexander Dunaev, COO and cofounder of ID Finance. “Focusing our efforts on research is essential. It is necessary work around the clock to develop and test vaccines and treatments. Time is of the essence.”
ID Finance will finance the “Reseach on the predictors of the evolution and transmission of Covid-19” by Dr. Josep Maria Haro of the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu. With their help they intend to promote and speed up this research project. This research joins other initiatives like the investigation to identify factors that protect children from the virus and makes them react differently in comparison to adults. This investigation is currently underway at Hospital Maternoinfantil Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona and aims at improving adult’s Covid-19 treatments.
ID Finance has already collaborated in other initiatives such as ‘Conecta Emociones’, which allows hospitalized COVID patients at Hospital de Sant Boi del Parc Sanitari Joan de Déu to get in touch with their families and loved ones. The donation of tablets made by ID Finance enable them to feel accompanied, digitally, by family and loved ones.
